DARTMOUTH — Board of Appeals continues Sherbrooke Farms 40B hearing. The Board unanimously voted to continue a comprehensive permit hearing for a proposed 152-unit rental housing development at 498 Old Westport Road, advancing civil engineering and stormwater management review to April 30, 2026. Chairperson Michael Medeiros, Esq., and members Halim Choubah, P.E., and Alvin Youman, Esq., heard from project engineer Damien Dmitruk of Coneco Engineers regarding the revised 152-unit project with 39 affordable units and 1.76 parking spaces per unit.
Public comment raised concerns about site entrance vegetation removal and aquifer protection within the Zone II wellhead protection area. The Board directed the applicant to secure fire department access confirmation, obtain traffic and pedestrian safety review, establish a safe school bus stop location, and provide water and sewer system impact assessment.
