Board of Appeals · Meeting of July 9, 2026

DARTMOUTH — Board of Appeals denies Bonneau Court expansion, closes Sherbrooke hearing. The Board of Appeals unanimously denied a special permit for a 576-square-foot addition to the non-conforming structure at 8 Bonneau Court, ruling that applicant Genny Reynolds' failure to appear for the July 9 hearing, combined with the proposal's likely detriment to the neighborhood, warranted denial. In separate action, the board closed the public hearing for Comprehensive Permit ZCMP-25-2 for the 156-unit Sherbrooke Farms development at 498 Old Westport Road, which includes 39 affordable units on approximately 81.8 acres.

The hearing, a continuation from June 8, addressed extensive site-design and infrastructure conditions; a final decision is pending.
