DARTMOUTH — Capital Planning Committee prioritizes water, wastewater projects in $5+ million DPW capital plan. The committee heard DPW Director Tim Barber present the FY2027 capital improvement program, which emphasizes water and wastewater infrastructure as first-priority needs. Major projects include a $400,000 sewer pump station upgrade, a $1.2 million Route 6 water main replacement, and a $6 million wastewater aeration project.
The plan also proposes over $750,000 in vehicle replacements and $900,000 in roadway improvements on Bridge and Middle streets. The committee recommended breaking project priorities by seasonal timing to maximize funding efficiency and emphasized coordinating the water main work with planned MassDOT roadway reconstruction.
