DARTMOUTH — The Conservation Commission approved a permit for a 5,785-square-foot gas station and convenience store at 411 Faunce Corner Road after peer review cleared the stormwater management design. Owner Ray Young's project includes about 15,000 square feet of impervious work within the 100-foot wetland buffer, routed through detention basins before discharge. The commission imposed a special condition requiring debris removal from the buffer zone.
Chair Michael A. Kehoe recused himself from a separate automobile dealership hearing at State Road, while the commission opened a controversial 266-foot recreational dock hearing in Clark's Cove and continued two major projects to August 4, including a multi-family apartment complex at 810 State Road.
