Conservation Commission approves revised Wetland Protection Bylaw

Conservation Commission · Meeting of March 10, 2026

Dartmouth Conservation Commission unanimously approved a revised Wetland Protection Bylaw Regulations with enhanced FEMA sand dune protections effective March 31, 2026. Chair Michael A. Kehoe and Commissioners Elizabeth DiPaolo, Donald Merski, and Megan Morrison issued Orders of Conditions for five residential development projects and continued three hearings to later meeting dates.

A sixth hearing on a screen porch and propane tank project could not proceed on March 10 due to a member recusal that eliminated the meeting quorum. The bylaw revision restores a sand dune protection section that had been removed in 2024, addressing guidance from Assistant Town Counsel.
