DARTMOUTH — Conservation Commission approved two wetland determinations and deferred three development hearings to September 1. Michael A. Kehoe, Chair, presided as the board unanimously cleared wetland lines at 79 Highland Avenue and 223 Smith Neck Road.

Three major projects—a commercial automobile dealership, a multi-family apartment complex, and a single-family home—were continued after the commission determined that Department of Public Works comments on stormwater management required significant additional revisions, particularly catch-basin inlet grate capacity calculations. A University of Massachusetts Dartmouth basketball court and parking expansion project was moved to September 15 for peer review and engineering assessment. Director of Environmental Affairs Jennifer Miller reported that the court had approved temporary injunctions in two longstanding enforcement cases at 700 Old Fall River Road and 1342 North Hixville Road.
