Council on Aging discusses programs, plans kitchen renovation

Dartmouth Council on Aging approves prior minutes, reviews senior programs. Chairperson Ouida Parsons Dowd led the meeting at the Dr. Bullard Wellness Center with seven board members present and Erik Johnson excused.
Director Amy DiPietro reported that Brewster Thornton will present kitchen renovation pricing by the first week of February, addressing building walkway flow, steam tables, range size, ice maker placement, and heating locations. The council's THRIVE program continues successfully, and outreach staff are helping seniors complete SNAP and ARAW applications. Tax preparation services will be available to Dartmouth seniors with potential UMass partnership in 2027.
One board vacancy remains open, with several members' terms expiring June 30, 2026.
