Dartmouth Select Board blesses Eversource poles installed without a hearing, launches economic development panel. The board voted 5-0 to approve six High Hill Road poles after Eversource's Anthony Veilleux admitted an internal error; resident Ian Mello pushed back on visibility concerns before the utility agreed to relocate poles up to 10 feet. Members also approved, 5-0, a temporary trailer permit for Leila Teixeira at 0 Jason Drive so her children can finish the school year, and voted to ask the School Committee to revisit its residency policy for her case.
The board unanimously chartered a seven-member Economic Development Committee. Director of Budget and Finance Gary Carreiro previewed a $113.2 million fiscal 2027 revenue projection, with state aid flatlined at $16.4 million and $43.8 million in free cash certified since fiscal 2020, "pretty conservative" numbers he said will hold even if state aid slips further.
