Dartmouth Conservation Commission ratifies enforcement orders for extensive unauthorized wetland violations. Chair Michael Kehoe and commissioners unanimously approved retroactive ratification of three enforcement orders addressing years of unpermitted work at and near 700 Old Fall River Road, including vegetation clearing, tree removal, unauthorized stone armoring, fill placement, and heavy equipment operation within protected wetland areas. Director of Environmental Affairs Jennifer Miller documented violations using aerial imagery and site photographs, noting the property borders the Copicut River and lies within a FEMA flood zone.

The Commission also unanimously issued a notice of violation for unauthorized construction at 277 Hixville Road and authorized UMass Dartmouth to proceed with a Spartina marsh restoration research project at Smith Neck Road/Mattarest Lane.
