Dartmouth Select Board re-elects Chair, appoints Constable and Environmental Affairs Director

Dartmouth Select Board reorganized and re-elected Heidi Silva Brooks as Chair for a second consecutive term, 4-1, with newly elected member Nathan Silva present. Christopher J. O'Neil was unanimously elected Vice Chair; the Board unanimously appointed Christopher Resendes as Constable and approved a contract with Jennifer Miller as Environmental Affairs Director, effective May 11.
Town Administrator Cody Haddad reported that recent legal cost reductions have saved approximately 150,000 dollars annually, and that the town received a 135,000 dollar MassDEP grant for energy efficiency improvements. The Board reviewed its 2026 goals and noted a shortfall of 178,000 dollars in the proposed 4.5 percent school budget increase after allocating 100,000 dollars from the Collective Bargaining Stabilization Fund.
