DARTMOUTH — Finance Committee clears year-end budget adjustments totaling $67,800. Chairperson Janine Simmons and the six-member committee approved four line-item transfers to address departmental shortfalls uncovered after fiscal year close, including $56,000 for Medicare payroll tax, $8,000 for tax title, $3,300 for Council on Aging, and $500 for Youth Commission. The tax title transfer was prompted by strong early results: the town collected $103,000 in delinquent taxes within a week of sending approximately 300 foreclosure notices, emphasizing payment plans over immediate foreclosure.
