DARTMOUTH — Historical Commission approves two home renovation applications. The Dartmouth panel unanimously endorsed replacement of exterior siding with Hardy board at 117 Old Westport Road, built 1900, where homeowners Joseph and Karen Gajewski plan to maintain historical aesthetics. A second application for 28 Greystone Avenue, built 1910, also passed unanimously; applicant Alex Machado will replace exterior windows with vinyl, install a new roof, renovate kitchen and bathroom, and refinish hardwood floors while retaining the front door and windows flanking the chimney.
A third application for 88 Hancock Street, built 1919, was deferred pending applicant response to questions on window specifications from Chairperson Robert Mahowald.
