Dartmouth Public Works approves $127K in infrastructure contracts; seeks legal counsel on capacity. The Board unanimously approved consulting agreements including a $60,000 MS4 stormwater assistance contract with Tighe & Bond, a $5,000 Cedar Dell monitoring amendment with AECOM, and a $6,500 independent fee evaluation for the town's Comprehensive Wastewater Management Plan. Director Timothy Barber presented findings from an inflow and infiltration study showing infiltration rates reaching 110,000 gallons per day in some system areas.
Capacity concerns regarding approximately 1,400 planned residential units prompted the Board to unanimously request formal legal counsel assistance to address connection permit authority and infrastructure needs.
