DARTMOUTH — School Committee discusses but defers vote on revised FY27 budget. Vice-Chair Mary Beckwith led the remote meeting attended by members Chris Olver, John Nunes, and Elizabeth Coughlin, with Superintendent Dr. June Saba-Maguire and Business Manager James Kiely presenting a $59.2 million proposal reflecting additional town funding and kindergarten enrollment data.
The Committee reached consensus to present the budget to the Town Administrator without a formal vote, deferring the official vote to April 13. Members discussed using approximately $367,000 in kindergarten stabilization funds to address unfunded positions after the district cuts a kindergarten post at Quinn Elementary.
