Select Board · Meeting of April 27, 2026
Dartmouth Select Board approves $113.4M operating budget for fiscal 2027 with 4.3 percent increase. Finance Director Gary Carreiro reported the town has captured $2 million in health insurance savings redirected to employee retention and recruitment, with school costs as the largest budget driver; the town maintains AAA financial rating, one of just 78 communities in Massachusetts holding that status. The board unanimously appointed Rebecca Amaral as Parks and Recreation Director and unanimously amended Environmental Affairs Director Jennifer Miller's contract start date to May 18.
The spring warrant includes 30 articles for Annual Town Meeting and three for Special Town Meeting, with the operating budget voting expected at May 11.
