Select Board 2026-03-09 Part 2 · Meeting of March 9, 2026
Dartmouth eyes $100 million in water and sewer borrowing over the next decade. Town Administrator Cody Haddad told the Select Board the figure sits on top of a $13 million near-term bill for Memorial Stadium, the high school roof and track, with debt service potentially reaching $21.5 million annually by 2050 if a new Quinn Elementary School is built. Sewer customers face an 11 percent rate increase this year and a projected 32 percent increase by 2031 for a $50 million wastewater treatment plant.
The board unanimously let Chair Heidi Silva Brooks sign a letter backing a $64,600 state-funded farmland study, and heard that the Padanaram Bridge, now estimated at $30 million, remains under 25 percent designed. "I think we need to bring it to the front burner," member Shawn McDonald said of the bridge.
