DARTMOUTH — Select Board backs MSBA Statement of Interest for Dartmouth Middle School, beginning a 30- to 40-year renovation planning process with potential state funding of up to 50 percent if approved. The Board unanimously adopted a Classification and Compensation Study finding the town 12.8 percent below average starting pay across 145 analyzed positions and recommending 30 consolidated pay grades for municipal staff. Town Administrator Cody Haddad won unanimous approval to execute memorandums of understanding with all eleven collective bargaining groups for a health insurance switch to Southeastern Mass Health Group, achieving approximately 2 million dollars in savings while increasing high-deductible plan coverage to 75 percent and raising retiree contributions from 52 to 57 percent.
Finance Director Gary Carreiro's three-year contract was unanimously renewed.
