DARTMOUTH — Waterways Commission approves expanded boat length for marina slips. The Dartmouth Waterways Management Commission voted unanimously on April 28 to expand monohull boat eligibility for slip rentals from 20 feet to 26 feet, with discretion retained by Harbormaster Steve Melo regarding vessel appropriateness. The measure aims to increase marina use and revenue.

Melo is scheduled to present marina occupancy data to the Select Board on May 11, and the Commission will hold a joint meeting with the Park Commission on May 12 to hear a presentation on the Apponagansett Peninsula Feasibility Study.
