Dartmouth panel sets final-continuance deadlines for three wetlands cases
Conservation · Meeting of September 15, 2026
Dartmouth Conservation Commission sets final-continuance deadlines on three stalled wetlands cases. The five-member board, meeting remotely, unanimously continued an after-the-fact car wash filing at 271 State Road to November 17, a commercial dealership at 0 State Road to October 6, and a 266-foot Clark's Cove dock to October 27, each conditioned on abutter notice or consent deadlines and warnings of "no further continuances." Commissioner James said unverified promises are "just a kick in the face." The board also closed hearings and issued orders of conditions for UMass Dartmouth basketball courts and a 3 Rafael Road home, the latter barred from foundation work "until the covenant and subdivision issues" tied to a developer's failed erosion controls are resolved. Two new hearings, an Eversource substation expansion and a Featherbed Lane accessory unit, were continued to October.
